By Emma The PC’s rock up to MTV’s stylish offices in Camden ready to leave a lasting impression! We’d been hired to help promote the launch of MTV’s brand new show: The Hard Times of RJ Berger. As we walked in I noticed the American themed decorations matched our cheer uniforms perfectly! Cheer Bonus! We go through the security and sign in (as it’s a very exclusive premises) before being shown to our spacious dressing room with mirrors as far as the eye can see! After a few stretches and shakes of our poms to warm up, we’re joined by the very popular Melvin Odoom, co-host of Kiss 100’s breakfast show!He struts in wearing his very own cheerleading uniform; complete with pleats (every cheerleader knows pleats are a must!) When asking how he looks I tell him what every Cheerleader loves to hear, 'it’s very slimming'. With not long until the big performance it’s time to teach Melvin our moves! That’s right; his sneaky colleagues had signed him up to perform with the Pineapple Cheerleaders in front of the entire MTV staff, brave man! With not long to prepare Melvin had to be a quick learner - lucky for us he was. Within ten minutes he had learnt an entire cheer and the moves to go with. Guess the other P.C.s better watch out as, with such great cheer spirit, Melvin could be giving us a run for our money ; ) It’s time for the PC’s (and special guest) to impress the eager crowd. We pick up our Poms, not forgetting a pair for Melvin, and burst onto the scene! As the crowd gathers the excitement is building! Can Melvin pull out all the stops for a cheer triumph? Or will the pressure of his colleagues put him off? Well, what do you know, he hit it right out of the park! Not only was he able to perform the entire cheer to perfection (front, centre) but he even threw in a cartwheel to finish! It was the icing on the cake. WTG Melvin!!! xoxo |
