What are your top 3 favourite Cheerleading Company hen parties in Reading?
- Cheerleading because it feels like home now I have done it so many times. People never want to put the Pom Pons down and they are instantly excited and in the party mood after I hand them out. The Cheerleading party is really fun and offers so many different elements.
- Grease because it’s one of the best musicals in my opinion. I LOVE coaching all these people dressed up in 1950s outfits! Plus it includes the HAND JIVE!!!!
- Burlesque because you can let your inner goddess out and have fun.
What is it like being a dance teacher for hen parties?
I have been coaching hen parties for The Cheerleading Company for 4 years now. I can actually say I love my job! Some people say to me, "How does that work as a hen party?", but it really does. There are so many dance themes for a hen party that the bride to be/ maid of honour can choose based on preference and the party is instantly tailored to the special lady. It allows the Bride to Be to have experience something new with her loved ones and create some amazing, special and fun memories. My first party I got such great feedback from the group that it meant so much to me to have played a part towards her wedding day and it has just continued to get better.
What dance experience have you had?
I have been dance training from a young age and have built up a wealth of experience in varying genres; Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Spanish, Cheerleading and Commercial. I love dancing and I am lucky enough to share my passion with others. I have taught children and adults and there is honestly nothing I would rather be doing. I am just about to start my Post Graduate Certificate of Education at the Royal Academy of Dance.
Who are your dance inspirations?
This is a tough one, so many people have inspired me through dance and most aren’t necessarily famous. I guess my most recent inspiration that is famous would be Ashley Banjo I think he is an incredible choreography and role model.
