What are your top 3 Cheerleading Company hen parties?
- Dirty Dancing for ‘the lift’ naturally!
- 80’s because you can let your hair down and just get a bit silly plus there’s some real nostalgic music.
- Fame – a dancers dream!! Leg warmers, leotards, headbands galore!!
What do you like about teaching hen parties?
I’ve been working with The Cheerleading Company for a few years now and have coached hen parties in Manchester, Leeds and York. I love teaching the themes because it means I help to make a memorable day for everyone, especially the bride.
It’s really satisfying to see people learn a routine and do something they wouldn’t normally dare to do!
What dance experience have you had?
I am a Derbyshire girl and began dancing locally at Derby Dance Centre. I studied A Level dance and a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts, Dance at Norton College, Sheffield, including Cecchetti Classical Ballet training (which I think is beautiful). The London Contemporary Dance School is where I gained a BA (Hons) Degree in Contemporary Dance. I then went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and decided to stay in Leeds when offered an apprenticeship with Balbir Singh Dance Company.
