What are your top 3 favourite Cheerleading Company hen parties in Edinburgh?
What do you love about teaching hen parties in Edinburgh?
I have been teaching dance henny parties for The Cheerleading Company for while now and I love it. The reason I love it so much is you take a group of such mixed abilities and bring them all together to have lots of fun and dance together. The parties are always full of laughter and silliness and its great to see people let themselves go and really get into it.
What dance experience have you had?
I have studied dance since I was a little girl and continued on to study and gain a BA Hons in Contemporary Dance. Throughout my studies I have gained experience in lots of different dance styles from the more traditional Ballet, Contemporary, Tap and Jazz to more Street Dance and Hip Hop styles as well as Scottish Country Dance, Latin and of course Cheerleading. I love learning new styles and regularly take classes to try out new styles. I have been teaching for over 6 years and love to share my love of dancing with others there is no better feeling than when your class nails a new task or routine.
Throughout my career I have danced at many high profile theatres such as the Edinburgh Festival Theatre, Edinburgh Playhouse, Usher Hall, Kings Theatre and many venues in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. My favourite moment would have to be performing for the MTV Music Awards when they came to Edinburgh, it was such a great experience and very glam.
Who are your dance inspirations?
My dance inspiration's come from lots of different areas, from one of the pioneer's of Contemporary dance; Merce Cunningham who just dances so beautifully, to the magical tap dancer Fred Astaire. I am also a huge Beyonce fan, her moves have become so famous and you cant take your eyes off her.
