What are your top 3 favourite Cheerleading Company hen parties in Bournemouth?
- Dirty Dancing – the greatest dance film of all time! Journeying through all the styles and dances at the Kellerman’s Holiday camp, and let’s be honest we’ve all secretly wished we were ‘Baby’ and we’d love to shake it like ‘Penny’.
- Strictly – There’s nothing better than shaking our salsa stuff or paso-ing across the room, this class includes so many character changes you won’t know who you are at the end, fun filled and packed full of styles.
- Pride and Prejudice – I love that I get to take my group of ladies back to the Jane Austin era, and for that hour and a half we can pretend to be in the film dancing alongside our very own Mr Darcy.
What do you love about teaching hen parties in Bournemouth?
I have been teaching hen parties for just over a year now and every Saturday my group brightens my day. I love meeting all types of people and experiencing the different energy’s each class brings. To me, there’s nothing better then giving a bride to be – or a birthday girl the best, most fun filled hour and a half I can give them.
My most favourite hen party moment was in a Dirty Dancing class. I had a group of ladies with a variety of different levels of confidence, but I had noticed a particular group of three ladies that seemed very shy and reserved. When it got to the class making up their own sequences and performing them, I was over the moon, not only for the fact these three ladies came completely out of their shell - laughing, dancing and loving every minute - but that my ‘bride to be’ had a smile from ear to ear and each one of them personally thanked me for a great lesson after – it’s the little things that mean the most.
What dance experience have you had?
I began my dance training with disco freestyle and rock ‘n’ roll which then lead to my professional musical theatre training at Bird College of Dance and Theatre Performance where I studied in a styles of dance, singing and acting.
Since leaving college I have been performing in ‘The Heat is On’ UK Tour alongside Eurovision’s ‘Scooch’, I’ve also spent many a Christmas performing in pantomimes understudying a variety of stars including Anne Charleston (Neighbours) and Su Pollard (Hi-de-hi), along with performing on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ I have most recently been performing in Christmas and Easter musicals.
