Terrence Higgins Trust Parade - Cheer Diary

Cheerleaders leading the parade for Terrence HigginsTerrence Higgins Trust Parade

 By Tallulah

With a mad variety of costumes, make up and glitter this wasn’t just any Saturday in the city, this was Gay Pride Saturday. It turns out that the PC’s have a gay following and so we were hired by the Terrence Higgins Trust to add some cheer to their section of the Gay Pride parade to help celebrate everything that's gay as well as raise awareness of the charity.

We started at Baker Street, where it was slightly hard to spot our clients at first because we were easily distracted by the colourful costumes and amazing floats and music being played from every different direction.

Forward 3D gig - Cheer Diary

Cheerleaders posing at Excel LondonForward 3D corporate promo gig

By Sarah

Question - How do you get your business noticed in a room full of competitors?

Answer – By hiring a group of head turning, attention seeking, glamorous cheerleaders of course!

‘Forward 3D’ DEFINITELY got this one right when they asked us along to help them boost their profile at the Business Start Up exhibition in the impressive ExCel Exhibition Centre.

So... We arrived bright and early at the venue in our PC tracksuits, with our hair and make-up looking fabulous (as always!).  We were lead to a huge exhibition hall absolutely full of hundreds of different businesses setting up for what looked to be an exciting day.

Kiehls Cosmetics Launch - Cheer Diary

Pineapple Cheerleader jumping outside Kiehl's storeKiehls store opening

By Holly

Today was a big day for U.S. cosmetics brand Kiehls – the launch of their brand new, London store. And who better to help them shout about it than the Pineapple Cheerleaders!

Kiehl’s was born and bred in the U.S.A. so the P.C.s were brought in to add some all American glitz, glamour. To make it even more exciting we were promoting beauty products. And you know what that means; mountains of gorgeous Kiehls freebies – what could be better!? … Well perhaps chocolate but this is a close second ; )

When we first arrived it was raining – oh no! - Sooo not ideal to promote beauty products when the rain is cheer styling you out! But after being shown to our changing room and getting kitted up in our cute cheer skirts and promo t-shirts a cheericle happened and the gorgeous sunshine came out for the rest of the afternoon! Thank you Cheer Gods x

Cheer Diary - Cafe De Paris gig

Pineapple Cheerleaders on stage at Cafe de ParisCafe De Paris gig

by Aimee

''I got a feeling...that tonight's gonna be a good night!''
...and we weren't wrong, five of the P.C's partied the night away at the famous Cafe De Paris. We arrived at around 10pm and were shown to our changing area. Once ready, we were greeted with a bottle of champagne and numerous different cocktails! Now we were cafeful not to get too carried away as it wasn't long before we were needed to get the party started.

We were hosting the event so we had performances and podium dancing scheduled throughout the night as well as time slots for the photos to entertain the guests. People love to party with the Pineapple Cheerleaders so we like to have fun with them.
To kick things off, Bianca, Mari and I headed to the podium area, up we jumped onto our very own little stages and started freestyling with our pom pons... Lady Gaga was being blasted out the speakers...PERFECT!

HSM - Make it Happen - Cheer Diary

Filming Pineapple Cheerleaders performing a routine for Disney HSMHSM shoot for Disney Channel

By Kimberley

“GO WILDCATS!” Today was like a dream come true, as we were guest performers on The Disney Channel’s new High School Musical TV show. We do lots of work for Disney HSM and so we’re all huge fans of the movies and knew that we were in for a treat. When we arrived on set it was just like walking into a scene from High School Musical. The gym floor glistened in the spotlights, the scoreboard was flashing and there were crowds of kids on the bleachers dressed in Wildcats colours, waving foam hands, flags and mini poms. I could just picture Troy Bolton landing a jump shot in one of the basketball hoops. Sadly Mr Efron wasn’t there, but there were a few London Towers basketball players showing off their ball skills. Everywhere we turned there were cameras, lights, and people singing and dancing. But everyone stopped to watch the squad as we strode across the basketball court in our slick PC tracksuits & matching kit bags. We felt like a film-stars!

Calendar shoot - Cheer Diary

Pineapple Cheerleaders in their dressing gowns at the shootPineapple Cheerleaders 2010 Calendar Shoot!

By Elle

Mr Photographer, I think I’m ready for my close up!

Yey! It is finally here; the number one day that every PC is waiting for: The Calendar Shoot!

No need to say how excited I was about the shoot – it is the biggest day of the year for the squad as it is a really ambitious shoot which covers the team shot, our individual profile shots and, most importantly, the 2010 calendar. We all had different arrival times and a personalised schedule. I was really nervous about it. I had been tanning, toning and practising my smile all week leading up to the shoot, and the night before I checked about three times if I had packed all my styling products and other accessories.

Lords Cricket - Cheer Diary

Lords 20-20 Cricket

By Suzy

Wow 40,000 Cricket fans had a real treat today! Not only were the Indian Premier League 20-20 winners Rajasthan Royals at Lords to play a match against Middlesex but Shilpa Shetty and Pineapple Cheerleaders were also there to entertain them.

We split the squad in half and were cheering on opposite teams for the day. Half of us were in pink uniforms with matching poms, cheering for Middlesex County Cricket Club and the others were in royal blue and gold, cheering for the Rajasthan Royals. Every time our team got a 6 or caught the ball we had to jump up and perform a victory dance on our podiums.

Ascot Bus Promo - Cheer Diary

Cheerleaders and Jockeys tour London on an open top busAscot promo

By Rossella

Dear Cheer Diary, today wasn’t just any other cheer day, today we yelled and posed from an open top bus, touring central London! That right, Ascot invited us to their press day for the Shergar Cup where, as usual we added all the glamour and joy anyone could ever want for a P.R. stunt!

Meeting point: The Ritz! What an exclusive bus stop. The race is sponsored by Dubai Duty Free and everyone was staying at the hotel so we were treated to tea in an absolutely stunning private drawing room whilst we waited for the bus. Before boarding we meet the incredible international jockeys; Maresh Narredu (India), Ahmed Ajtebi (UAE) and Hiroyuki Uchida (Japan).  Click, Click, Flash, Flash the hungry photographers get their first shots with the beautiful Ritz backdrop, us, and the Shergar Cup trophy gleaming as a centre piece.
